Tottenham Hotspur have parted ways with their Women's First Team Head Coach, Robert Vilahamn, after two years in charge. The announcement, made on Sunday, June 8, 2025, marks the end of Vilahamn's tenure, which began in July 2023. This decision comes after the club finished 11th in the Women's Super League (WSL) during the 2024/25 season, narrowly avoiding relegation.

Vilahamn's first season saw Tottenham achieve a sixth-place finish in the WSL and reach the Adobe Women's FA Cup Final for the first time in their history in May 2024. These accomplishments raised hopes for continued progress. However, the 2024/25 season proved to be a significant downturn, with the team struggling to replicate their earlier success. The club only managed to secure five wins from 22 matches. They were also winless in their last 10 league games.

Andy Rogers, Managing Director of Tottenham Hotspur Women, acknowledged the "special moments" during Vilahamn's time with the club, particularly the FA Cup final appearance. Despite this, he stated that the "results and performances this season have not been to the level we would expect, and now is the right time to make a change."

Vilahamn's departure follows closely on the heels of Ange Postecoglou's sacking from the men's team just days earlier.

Robert Vilahamn joined Tottenham Women in July 2023, after managing BK Hacken, and had a contract that was supposed to run until 2027. In January 2025, Bri Campos was appointed as part of Vilahamn's coaching staff, joining Vicky Jepson and Chris Williams.

Throughout the season, Vilahamn emphasized the importance of focusing on performance over results and implementing an attacking style of football. However, after a promising start, the team experienced a significant dip in form, especially in the second half of the season. A 3-0 defeat to Arsenal in November marked the beginning of a challenging period, with the team struggling to secure victories.

The club has stated that a further coaching update for the Women's First Team will follow in due course.
