The Milwaukee Brewers have made several roster moves today, June 13, 2025, placing outfielder Daz Cameron on the paternity list and recalling both right-handed pitcher Grant Anderson and outfielder Drew Avans from Triple-A Nashville.

Daz Cameron's placement on the paternity list comes as he awaits the birth of his child. The move provides Cameron with the opportunity to be with his family during this significant time. It is not yet known how long Cameron will remain on the paternity list, but it's expected to be a few days. It is worth noting the potential for a third-generation major leaguer in the Cameron family.

To fill Cameron's spot on the roster, the Brewers have recalled Drew Avans from Triple-A Nashville. Avans, 29, was recently claimed off waivers from the Oakland Athletics last week. He will likely remain with the team for a short period while Cameron is on the paternity list. Avans has been performing well in Triple-A this season, with a .327/.411/.441 batting line.

In a corresponding move on the pitching side, the Brewers have also recalled right-hander Grant Anderson from Triple-A Nashville. Anderson's recall coincides with the trade that sent Aaron Civale to the Chicago White Sox in exchange for first baseman Andrew Vaughn. This is the second time this season Anderson has been called up to take Civale's spot. Anderson has pitched 32 2/3 innings for Milwaukee this season, posting a 3.86 ERA.

These roster adjustments come amidst other significant transactions for the Brewers. The team acquired first baseman Andrew Vaughn from the Chicago White Sox in exchange for right-handed pitcher Aaron Civale and cash considerations. Vaughn, however, has been optioned to Triple-A Nashville.

The Brewers are navigating a series of changes to their roster, balancing the need to support players during personal moments with strategic decisions to bolster their performance on the field. The team hopes that these moves will provide the necessary depth and flexibility as they continue their season.
