The West Indies' T20 series against Ireland has been severely hampered by adverse weather conditions, with the second T20 international in Bready being washed out on Saturday, June 14, 2025. This abandonment follows the washout of the opening game on Thursday, leaving only one match remaining in the three-game series.

Cricket Ireland confirmed the abandonment via their X account, stating, "The match unfortunately has been abandoned due to consistent wet conditions." The umpires made their decision after inspecting the pitch and determining that there was no possibility of play due to the persistent rain. The toss was also delayed due to the wet outfield.

The weather in Bready has been consistently problematic, with overcast conditions and rain affecting both scheduled matches. The first game was abandoned without a ball being bowled, and the second faced a similar fate, much to the frustration of both teams and cricket fans.

This series was meant to provide West Indies with an opportunity to rebound following their losses to England in both the one-day international and T20 formats, where they suffered 3-0 defeats. The weather, however, has become a significant obstacle.

The final game of the series is scheduled to take place at Bready on Sunday. With the series now effectively a one-match shootout, both teams will be eager to make the most of the opportunity, weather permitting. Earlier this year, the West Indies played a one-day international series in Ireland, which ended in a 1-1 draw after three matches in May.
