Juventus is on the cusp of securing a spot in the knockout stages of the Club World Cup after a dominant 4-1 victory over Wydad AC. The match, held in Philadelphia, saw young star Kenan Yildiz shine brightly, netting two goals and playing a crucial role in an own goal that set the Bianconeri on their way. This win puts Juventus at the top of their group with six points, increasing their chances of advancing to the next round.

The Italian giants demonstrated their attacking prowess early in the game. Just six minutes in, a dangerous play resulted in an own goal by Wydad's Abdelmounaim Boutouil. Shortly after, Yildiz showcased his talent by scoring after a clever exchange with Kephren Thuram. The young forward's deflected shot found the back of the net, doubling Juventus' lead. Yildiz continued to threaten, sending in a dangerous cross that nearly connected with Randal Kolo Muani, indicating his growing importance to the team.

Wydad, however, showed resilience and created opportunities to respond. Samuel Obeng had a chance following a mix-up between Weston McKennie and Andrea Cambiaso, but his shot lacked the necessary power to trouble Juventus' goalkeeper, Michele Di Gregorio. Despite the Moroccan side's efforts, Juventus maintained control, and Yildiz extended their lead in the 16th minute with a stunning long-range strike that found the top corner.

In the second half, Juventus continued to press, and although Wydad managed to pull a goal back against the run of play through Thembinkosi Lorch, Juventus quickly regained their composure. Yildiz completed his brace, further solidifying his status as a key player for the team. Dusan Vlahovic then sealed the victory with a late penalty, capping off a dominant performance by the Turin-based club.

Igor Tudor's side appears set to advance to the Round of 16, with only their final match against Manchester City remaining to determine the group winner. Juventus previously thrashed Al Ain 5-0, showcasing their strong form in the competition. Their ability to start matches with intensity has been a key factor in their success.

The Club World Cup, taking place in the United States from June 14 to July 13, 2025, features 32 teams from around the world. The top two teams from each group will advance to the knockout stages, which include the Round of 16, quarter-finals, semi-finals, and the final.
