Novak Djokovic is making a strong push at Wimbledon 2025, where he is aiming to equal Roger Federer's record of eight men's singles titles. The 38-year-old Serbian has eased into the third round with straight-set victories. In his second-round match, Djokovic defeated Daniel Evans 6-3, 6-2, 6-0, displaying a high level of play. He served precisely, winning the match in just one hour and 47 minutes. Djokovic is set to face fellow Serb Miomir Kecmanovic in the third round. He is aiming for his 100th tour-level title, which included a win in Geneva in May. Djokovic has won 40 of his past 42 matches at the All England Club, with his only two losses during this period coming in the past two finals against Carlos Alcaraz.

Iga Swiatek, on the other hand, is stepping up her challenge at Wimbledon 2025, navigating a women's draw that has seen several top seeds eliminated early. Swiatek overcame a first-set deficit in her second-round match against Caty McNally, winning 5-7, 6-2, 6-1. Swiatek and McNally had previously won the 2018 French Open junior girls doubles title together. Swiatek has reached 22 consecutive Grand Slam third rounds and has not lost before the third round of a Grand Slam since the 2019 US Open. Her best Wimbledon result is the 2023 quarter-finals. She is set to face Danielle Collins in the third round. Swiatek leads Collins 7-2 in their head-to-head record, although Collins won their most recent match on clay in Rome in 2025.

Swiatek's confidence has been boosted by her performance leading up to Wimbledon, including a run to the final in Bad Homburg. She has been focusing on adjusting to the grass courts and gaining more experience on Centre Court. Despite being known as a clay-court specialist, Swiatek was a Wimbledon junior champion, indicating her potential on grass. With several top seeds eliminated, Swiatek is the second-highest seed remaining in her half of the draw, with only Mirra Andreeva ahead of her.
