After a summer of intense speculation, Viktor Gyokeres has officially signed for Arsenal, penning a five-year deal with the North London club. The 27-year-old arrives from Sporting Lisbon, where he established himself as a potent force in attack, scoring an impressive 97 goals in 102 appearances. Arsenal will pay the Portuguese club a guaranteed fee of £55 million, with an additional £8.7 million in potential add-ons.
Gyokeres enjoyed a successful spell with Sporting, where he helped the team secure back-to-back Primeira Liga titles and a national cup. He also finished as the league's top scorer in both campaigns, showcasing his consistent ability to find the back of the net.
