Carabao Cup second round draw: When, where, how to watch, qualified teams, and ball numbers.

The draw for the second round of the Carabao Cup is scheduled to take place today, Wednesday, August 13, 2025, during the build-up to the Birmingham City vs. Sheffield United match. The draw will commence at approximately 7:20 pm BST. Sky Sports presenter Mark Chapman will host the draw.

The draw will be broadcast live on Sky Sports Football and Sky Sports News. Football fans can also watch the draw for free on the Sky Sports Football YouTube channel. Additionally, those with Sky subscriptions can stream it on Sky Go and NOW TV, while ITV4 and ITVX will also provide free-to-air coverage. Live updates will also be available on the EFL website for those without Sky Sports.

Eleven Premier League teams that are not participating in European competitions will enter the competition in the second round. The teams competing in European competitions will enter in the third round.

For the second round, the draw will be split into Northern and Southern sections. This regionalization will end in the third round.

The second-round matches are scheduled to be played during the week commencing August 25. A confirmed date and kick-off time will be communicated in due course.

A total of 29 teams have qualified for the Round Two of this season's Carabao Cup. The teams that have progressed include 13 Championship teams, 12 League One teams and 4 League Two teams.
