Oliver Glasner's unwavering commitment: Leading Everton forward, his focus remains despite European success.

Oliver Glasner has emphasized his unwavering focus on the upcoming Premier League match against Everton, despite Crystal Palace's recent 2-0 victory over Dynamo Kyiv in the Conference League. Glasner's commitment underscores his dedication to the immediate challenges facing his team, rather than dwelling on past successes.

The victory against Dynamo Kyiv marked a significant milestone for Crystal Palace, representing their first-ever away goal in European competition. Daniel Munoz scored just after the half-hour mark, with Eddie Nketiah adding a second in the 58th minute. However, Glasner has downplayed the significance of Crystal Palace's club record 19-match unbeaten streak, insisting that his attention has already shifted to the Everton game.

Glasner told a press conference, "I'm proud that we could start the Conference League away against a very good opponent (but) I don't think about this (unbeaten) run, because it has already happened". He further added, "It is not difficult to prepare the team because they are so hungry to succeed and so ambitious. We want to keep them pushing and it is really easy to keep the focus high".

Crystal Palace's manager signed a contract with the Premier League club on February 19, 2024, that extends until the end of the 2025-26 season.

Tactically, Glasner is known for his structured, disciplined, and flexible approach. He often employs a 3-4-2-1 or 3-4-1-2 formation during possession. His core principles involve controlled aggression out of possession, compactness and organization in defensive phases, quick vertical passes in transition, and intelligent pressing.

Glasner's managerial style also emphasizes the importance of honesty and integrity. He believes in building trust with his players and giving them freedom of thought. He is also known for his tactical variation, often switching between a back-three and a back-four, which makes his sides difficult to play against.

Looking ahead to the Everton match, Glasner acknowledged the challenges his team would face. "We are really looking forward to this game, a great atmosphere, a great stadium, they are in very good shape," he said. He also noted that Everton's new stadium would provide a great atmosphere.

Glasner also praised David Moyes, Everton's manager. "Fantastic manager. I think what he did with West Ham was great, winning the Conference League, qualifying three times for international competition… Also, you could see how quick he can influence the performances at Everton, so he's a fantastic manager," Glasner stated.

Despite Crystal Palace's impressive form, Glasner remains grounded and committed to the task at hand. His focus on the next game, combined with his tactical acumen and leadership qualities, will be crucial as Crystal Palace navigate the challenges of the Premier League season.
