T20 World Cup 2026 Schedule: Live Updates as India Likely to Face Pakistan in Colombo on February 15.

The International Cricket Council (ICC) is set to announce the full schedule for the Men's T20 World Cup 2026 today, November 25, 2025. The tournament, co-hosted by India and Sri Lanka, will take place from February 7 to March 8, 2026.

A major highlight of the schedule is the highly anticipated match between India and Pakistan, which is likely to be held on February 15 in Colombo. This will be the first encounter between the two rivals since the 2025 Asia Cup. Both teams are reportedly placed in the same group, alongside the USA, the Netherlands, and Namibia. Pakistan will play all their matches in Sri Lanka due to an agreement between the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) and Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) that ensures matches involving India and Pakistan at ICC events hosted by either nation will be held at a neutral venue until at least 2027.

India, the defending champions after their 2024 T20 World Cup victory, will begin their campaign against the USA on February 7 in Mumbai. Their second match is scheduled against Namibia on February 12 in Delhi, followed by the high-octane clash against Pakistan in Colombo on February 15. India will conclude their group stage matches against the Netherlands on February 18 in Ahmedabad.

The 2026 T20 World Cup will follow the same format as the 2024 edition, with 20 teams divided into four groups of five. The top two teams from each group will advance to the Super Eight stage, which will consist of two groups of four teams each. The top two teams from each Super Eight group will then proceed to the semi-finals, followed by the final.

If India qualifies for the Super Eight stage, their matches are expected to be held in Chennai, Kolkata, and Ahmedabad. Mumbai's Wankhede Stadium is expected to host one of the semi-finals. The other semi-final venue will be either Kolkata or Colombo, depending on Pakistan's qualification status. The final is slated to be held in Ahmedabad, but it may be relocated to Colombo if Pakistan qualifies.

The schedule announcement will be broadcast on Star Sports 1, Star Sports 2, and Star Sports 3, with live streaming available on the JioHotstar app and website.
