After the first quarter, India came back with "fresh ammunition", scoring three goals in the second quarter. Manmeet Singh scored in the 17th minute, followed by Anmol Ekka and Dilraj Singh who each scored in the 29th minute. By halftime, India had established a commanding 5-0 lead.
