Rohit Sharma and Tilak Varma Present India's T20 World Cup Jersey at Raipur ODI Against South Africa.

The Indian cricket team's jersey for the 2026 ICC T20 World Cup was revealed on Wednesday during the second ODI against South Africa at the Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh International Cricket Stadium in Raipur. Former India captain Rohit Sharma, who is also the tournament's brand ambassador, and India T20 batter Tilak Varma unveiled the new kit in front of a packed crowd during the innings break.

The T20 World Cup is scheduled to be co-hosted by India and Sri Lanka from February 7 to March 8. India finds itself in Group A, where they will compete against Pakistan, the USA, the Netherlands, and Namibia. India will start their campaign against the USA in Mumbai on February 7. Following the opener, India will face Namibia in Delhi on February 12, Pakistan on February 15, and the Netherlands in Ahmedabad on February 18.

Adidas, the official kit sponsor, collaborated with the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) to design and unveil the jersey. During the on-field ceremony, a large version of the jersey was unfurled across the stadium, energizing the fans and setting the stage for India's World Cup preparations. BCCI secretary Devajit Saikia was also present at the unveiling ceremony.

According to Adidas, the new jersey blends modern technology with design elements inspired by India's kits from the 1990s. It incorporates contemporary pattern innovation while retaining the neckline from the 2024 T20 World Cup-winning jersey. The kit is built with body-mapped 3D engineered mechanical stretch fabrics and Adidas' CLIMACOOL+ technology, offering enhanced ventilation and sweat-wicking to help players in potentially warm conditions during the tournament. Perforated three-stripe tape and strategically placed mesh panels are also included to improve breathability.

In the second ODI, India had a strong batting performance, scoring 358 for five. Virat Kohli scored 102 runs off 93 balls, while Ruturaj Gaikwad made 105 runs from 83 balls. Together, they formed a 195-run partnership for the third wicket, which is India's highest against South Africa in ODIs.
