India has concluded its campaign at the FEI Asian Equestrian Championship 2025 in Pattaya, Thailand, with a historic medal haul, marking the nation's most successful performance at the continental event. The championship, which began on November 23, 2025, showcased India's growing strength in both Eventing and Dressage. This was only the second edition of the Asian Championship, with India having skipped the inaugural edition in 2019.
India's medal tally reached a total of five, comprising one gold and four silver medals. Ashish Limaye secured an individual gold in Eventing, with the team of Ashish Limaye, Shashank Singh Kataria, and Shashank Kanmuri also winning a silver medal in the team event. In Dressage, Shruti Vora emerged as a standout performer, securing three silver medals across individual and team events. The Dressage team included Shruti Vora, Divyakriti Singh, and Gaurav Pundeer.
Ashish Limaye expressed the emotional significance of his win, especially after the previous Asian Games. He also extended his gratitude to those who supported him, including Jitu Virwani (Embassy Group) and Silva Storai (Director, EIRS), his family, and trainers Carola Bierlein and Jerome Robine. He also acknowledged his horse WILLY BE DUN's contribution to his victory.
The Indian dressage team delivered an exceptional performance, securing a prestigious silver medal. Thailand secured the gold medal, while Hong Kong bagged the bronze medal. The Indian line-up comprised Gaurav Pundeer from Uttar Pradesh, Divyakriti Singh from Rajasthan, and Shruti Vora from Maharashtra.
Shruti Vora and her horse, Magnanimous, delivered another impressive performance in the Intermediate 1 dressage test, clinching the Individual Silver.
Shashank Singh Kataria represented India in the eventing discipline with his horse, Bullseye. The FEI Asian Continental Championship is a significant equestrian tournament, hosting elite riders from across Asia in Dressage, Show Jumping, and Eventing.
The Sports Ministry supported the athletes with Rs 2.73 crore for logistical and training purposes through the ANSF and TAGG schemes.
The Thai Polo Club in Pattaya hosted the FEI Eventing Asian Championship 2025, which saw Thailand secure the team title with a combined score of 117.6 penalties, narrowly edging India's squad with 121.8. In the individual standings, India's Limaye delivered a polished performance with his horse, Willy Be Dun, finishing on 29.4 penalties. Hong Kong's Patrick Lam claimed silver, while Thailand's Korntawat Samran took bronze.
