Thierry Henry, the legendary French striker and former World Cup champion, made his FOX Sports debut today, December 5, as a lead analyst for the network's coverage of the FIFA World Cup 2026 Final Draw. The draw, broadcast live from the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C., marks the beginning of Henry's central role in FOX's broadcast plans for the highly anticipated tournament next summer.

FOX Sports is significantly bolstering its coverage for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, recognizing the event's magnitude as it expands to 48 teams and is hosted across the United States, Mexico, and Canada for the first time. The network will broadcast a record 69 matches on FOX and 35 on FS1, all of which will be available for streaming on FOX One and the FOX Sports App. This extensive coverage underscores FOX Sports' commitment to providing comprehensive access to the tournament for American viewers.

"Thierry Henry's name is synonymous with the best of the beautiful game," stated Brad Zager, FOX Sports President of Production & Operations and Executive Producer. "As one of soccer's elite, we are elated to add Thierry's distinguished resume to our talent roster for the biggest World Cup ever.".

Henry's arrival at FOX Sports adds another chapter to his decorated career, which includes championships, coaching experience, and acclaimed broadcast work in both the U.K. and the U.S. He has previously worked with Sky Sports and Paramount+. His tactical insight and understanding of the mental demands on elite players have made him a respected voice in the sport. Henry's broadcast experience and deep understanding of soccer are expected to provide viewers with a unique and insightful perspective throughout the World Cup coverage.

Henry expressed his enthusiasm for joining FOX Sports, stating, "It's an honor and privilege to be part of the World Cup coverage for FOX Sports. For me, the World Cup is the ultimate sporting event, and to join the team and still have some involvement in the tournament fills me with a great deal of excitement. The draw in Washington tomorrow means we are close to the start. I can't wait".

As one of the most prolific forwards in soccer history, Henry brings a wealth of experience to FOX Sports. He scored 51 goals in 123 appearances for France and holds Arsenal's club scoring record with 228 goals. His individual accolades include back-to-back European Golden Boots and three consecutive Domestic Golden Boots. Beyond his playing career, Henry has coaching experience with AS Monaco, Montreal Impact, the Belgian national team, and France's Olympic squad.
