Guwahati, December 7, 2025 – Sanskar Saraswat emerged victorious at the Guwahati Masters Super 100 badminton tournament, claiming his first senior international title by defeating fellow Indian Mithun Manjunath in a thrilling final. The summit clash was an all-Indian affair, guaranteeing the gold medal for the host nation.

Saraswat's journey to the title was marked by a series of impressive performances. Entering the tournament as a qualifier, the 19-year-old demonstrated remarkable consistency and mental fortitude throughout the week. However, Rohan Kapoor and Ruthvika Shivani Gadde narrowly missed a place in the mixed doubles final, losing to Thailand's Tanadon Punpanichi and Fungfa Korpthammakit. Additionally, Ashwini Bhat and Shikha Gautam were defeated in the women's doubles semi-finals by Malaysia's Ong Xin Yee and Carmen Ting.
