Hearts Triumph in Scottish Title Clash: Victory Extends Lead Over Celtic by Three Points.

Hearts have moved three points clear at the top of the Scottish Premiership after a 2-1 victory over Celtic at Parkhead. Goals from Claudio Braga and Oisin McEntee secured the win for the visitors, while Kieran Tierney's late goal proved to be a mere consolation for the home side.

The match also marked the debut of Celtic's new manager, Wilfried Nancy, who replaced Brendan Rodgers. Nancy, formerly of Columbus Crew, signed a two-and-a-half-year contract with the club.

Hearts opened the scoring in the 43rd minute through Braga, who capitalized on defensive uncertainty to net his tenth goal for the club. McEntee doubled the lead in the 64th minute, heading home from a Harry Milne corner. Tierney's stoppage-time strike was not enough to spark a comeback for Celtic.

This victory marks Hearts' second win over Celtic this season, having previously defeated them 3-1 at Tynecastle in October. That previous defeat was a catalyst for change at Celtic Park, ultimately leading to Rodgers' departure.

The win puts Hearts in a strong position heading into the winter break, but Celtic still have a game in hand. Hearts now have 35 points from 16 games, while Celtic remain on 32 points from 15 games.

Despite the defeat, Celtic have been in good form recently, winning their last five league matches. Hearts, in contrast, have struggled for consistency since their October win against Celtic, with only one league win in their subsequent six matches.

The match was a significant test for Nancy, with Hearts representing the biggest blemish on his predecessor's record. For Hearts manager Derek McInnes, the victory is a statement of intent, proving that their earlier win against Celtic was not a fluke.

With Celtic playing in the Premier Sports Cup final against St Mirren next weekend, Hearts have an opportunity to potentially extend their lead at the top of the table.
