The Indian duo of Abhishek Verma and Deepshikha have guaranteed India a medal at the Asian Archery Championships in Dhaka, Bangladesh, by advancing to the compound mixed team final. The pair secured their spot in the final with a 156-153 victory over Kazakhstan.

Verma and Deepshikha displayed dominance throughout the elimination round, defeating the UAE, Vietnam, and Kazakhstan en route to the final. In the gold medal match, they will face Bangladesh, who upset the top-seeded South Korea in the semi-finals. The final is scheduled for Thursday.

In the recurve mixed team event, Anshika Kumari and Yashdeep Bhoge will compete for a bronze medal. However, the recurve mixed team lost their semi-final match against Chinese Taipei and will now face South Korea in the bronze medal match on Friday.

Earlier in the competition, Deepshikha led the compound women in qualification with 705 points. Kim Jongho from Korea led the compound men's qualification with 715 points, while Verma secured second place with 713 points. Yashdeep Sanjay Bhoge topped the recurve men's qualification with 687 points. Jang Minhee from Korea led the recurve women's qualification with 675 points.

India will have representation in the final of all three compound team events and will be competing for gold medals on Thursday. Additionally, two Indian archers are in the semi-finals of the women's compound individual category.

India's schedule for compound medal matches on Thursday includes the women's team final against South Korea, the men's team final against Kazakhstan, and the mixed team final against Bangladesh. Prithika Pradeep and Jyothi Surekha Vennam will also compete in the women's individual semi-finals.
