The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has announced the squads for the India Women's team's tour of England, which will consist of five T20Is and three ODIs, spanning from June 28 to July 22, 2025.

T20I Squad Highlights

The most notable inclusion is that of Shafali Verma in the T20I squad. The 21-year-old opener makes a comeback after being dropped in October 2024. Verma's return is attributed to her impressive performance in the Women's Premier League (WPL), where she was the fourth-highest run-scorer. Since being dropped, Shafali has been in excellent form, emerging as the leading run-scorer in the Senior Women's One-Day Trophy and Senior Women's Challenger Trophy.

Apart from Shafali Verma, the T20I squad also includes N Shree Charani, Kranti Goud, Shuchi Upadhyay, and Sayali Satghare, who have received their maiden T20I call-ups. Sneh Rana, who last played a T20I in February 2023, has also made a comeback to the national team.

The T20I squad will be led by Harmanpreet Kaur, with Smriti Mandhana as her deputy. Other key players in the T20I squad include Jemimah Rodrigues, Richa Ghosh (WK), Yastika Bhatia (WK), Harleen Deol, Deepti Sharma, Amanjot Kaur, and Arundhati Reddy.

ODI Squad Highlights

The ODI squad sees the inclusion of Pratika Rawal. Kranti Gaud, who made her ODI debut during the final against Sri Lanka, retains her place in the ODI squad. Sayali Satghare, who debuted for India against Ireland earlier in 2025, is also included in the ODI squad.

Harmanpreet Kaur will captain the ODI side, with Smriti Mandhana as the vice-captain. The ODI squad also features Jemimah Rodrigues, Richa Ghosh, Yastika Bhatia, Tejal Hasabnis, Deepti Sharma, Sneh Rana, Sree Charani, Shuchi Upadhyay, Amanjot Kaur, and Arundhati Reddy.

Notable Absentees

Pacer Renuka Singh and all-rounder Shreyanka Patil are absent from the squad due to injury setbacks. Kashvee Gautam is also missing out due to a leg injury.

Schedule

The tour commences on June 28 with the first T20I at Trent Bridge in Nottingham. The T20I series will be followed by three ODIs, with the final match on July 22 at Riverside Ground, Chester-le-Street.
