Bengaluru erupted in a frenzy of red and gold as the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) arrived in the city on June 4, 2025, to celebrate their historic maiden IPL title. After 18 years of anticipation, near-misses, and unwavering fan loyalty, the team's victory over Punjab Kings in a thrilling final in Ahmedabad sparked celebrations that painted the city red.

The day began with fans gathering in large numbers across Bengaluru. The team's chartered flight landed at HAL Airport around 1:30 PM IST, where they received a grand welcome. Virat Kohli, the team's talisman, was greeted with garlands and a flower shower as he arrived at the team hotel, accompanied by his wife, Anushka Sharma.

The Karnataka government hosted a felicitation ceremony at Vidhana Soudha to honor the champions. Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, along with the Governor Thawar Chand Gehlot, and other ministers, were present to congratulate the team. The RCB team arrived at Vidhana Soudha, where they were greeted by thousands of fans. The players stood for the Indian national anthem, followed by the felicitation ceremony where CM Siddaramaiah honored the entire team, including Virat Kohli.

Initially, an open-top bus parade from Vidhana Soudha to M. Chinnaswamy Stadium was planned. However, due to logistical and security concerns, the Bengaluru Police cancelled the parade. Instead, a felicitation ceremony was held at the Chinnaswamy Stadium between 5 PM and 6 PM. Despite the cancellation of the parade, RCB posted on their social media about the parade.

The celebrations at Chinnaswamy Stadium were marred by a tragic incident. A stampede-like situation occurred as fans tried to enter the stadium, resulting in casualties and injuries. However, the felicitation ceremony continued as planned.

The atmosphere in Bengaluru was electric, with fans expressing their joy and pride in the team's achievement. The victory was especially significant for Virat Kohli, who has been an integral part of the RCB team for many years. Legends AB de Villiers and Chris Gayle also joined the celebrations, adding to the excitement.

The RCB's victory parade, though partially altered, was a momentous occasion for the team and its fans. The celebrations were a testament to the team's hard work, dedication, and the unwavering support of their fans, who have stood by them through thick and thin. The city of Bengaluru embraced its heroes, and the echoes of "RCB! RCB!" will resonate for a long time.
