The newly expanded FIFA Club World Cup is underway, and one of the most anticipated group stage matches features a clash between European powerhouses Paris Saint-Germain and Atlético Madrid. The match is taking place today, June 15, 2025, at the iconic Rose Bowl in Pasadena, California. This marks the first time these two teams have met in this competition, adding extra significance to the encounter as both seek their inaugural world title.

PSG enters the tournament as the reigning UEFA Champions League winners, having decisively defeated Inter Milan 5-0 in the final. Their journey to the Club World Cup was hard-earned, overcoming a shaky patch in the Champions League group stage where a 93rd-minute defeat to Atlético Madrid put their campaign in jeopardy. However, the French giants recovered to ultimately lift the trophy.

Atlético Madrid, on the other hand, qualified for the Club World Cup as one of Europe's top-performing teams based on FIFA's ranking pathway. They'll be looking to replicate their previous victory over PSG and demonstrate their strength on the global stage.

Both teams are in Group B, alongside Brazilian side Botafogo and MLS team Seattle Sounders. The top two teams from each group will advance to the knockout stages, making this match crucial for both PSG and Atlético Madrid's chances of progressing.

For fans in the United States, the game kicks off at 12 pm PT / 3 pm ET. DAZN is providing live streaming coverage of the match. In India, the game will begin at 12:30 AM IST on Monday, June 16, and will be live-streamed on the DAZN website, although there will be no telecast.

The Rose Bowl is hosting multiple matches during the Club World Cup. FIFA is also seeking volunteers to assist with the tournament. The final is scheduled to be held on July 14 at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey. The tournament has already commenced with Inter Miami playing out a goalless draw against Al Ahly.
