The Milwaukee Brewers have been actively shuffling their roster in recent days, with several notable moves impacting both the major league club and their Triple-A affiliate, the Nashville Sounds. These changes involve the return of a familiar face, an outfielder heading back to the minors, and a key player on a rehab assignment.

Outfielder Daz Cameron has been reinstated from the paternity list on June 16th, 2025. Cameron's return provides the Brewers with additional depth in the outfield.

In a corresponding move, outfielder Drew Avans has been optioned to Triple-A Nashville. Avans, recently claimed off waivers from the Athletics on June 8th, had a brief stint with the major league club. The 28-year-old outfielder is known for his speed and on-base ability. While he didn't find much success in his limited MLB debut with the Athletics, Avans has a strong track record in Triple-A, hitting .328/.414/.444 with four home runs and 16 stolen bases this season prior to joining the Brewers organization.

The Brewers are also working to get outfielder Garrett Mitchell back into the major league lineup. Mitchell was sent on a rehab assignment to the ACL Brewers on June 14th, 2025. Mitchell's progress will be closely monitored as he works his way back from injury.

These roster moves come amidst a series of transactions for the Brewers. Utility player Andrew Vaughn was recently acquired in a trade with the Chicago White Sox. Veteran outfielder Eddie Rosario elected to opt out of his minor league deal with the Brewers on June 15th. Rosario had been playing with Triple-A Nashville, where he was hitting .290 with two home runs and six stolen bases. However, the Brewers chose to give Avans an opportunity instead, and with Mitchell and Perkins nearing their return, Rosario's path to playing time in Milwaukee became less clear.
