Washington, D.C., itself witnessed an even more dramatic surge, with youth hockey participation skyrocketing 187%, marking the third-largest growth rate in the country. This boom reflects a broader trend across the United States, where youth hockey participation has seen steady growth, even as it declines in Canada.
