Juventus striker Randal Kolo Muani has addressed recent transfer speculation linking him with a move to Chelsea Football Club. The French international, currently on loan at the Turin-based club from Paris Saint-Germain (PSG), has been the subject of rumors suggesting a potential switch to Stamford Bridge in the upcoming transfer window.
Kolo Muani's response to these rumors has been quite direct. Speaking to Tuttosport, the 26-year-old striker stated that he is unaware of any interest from Chelsea and is solely focused on the ongoing Club World Cup. "I don't know anything about Chelsea," he said. "I'm trying to focus on the Club World Cup, which is a very fast competition. Once the tournament is over, we'll see what happens on the market."
Furthermore, Kolo Muani expressed his contentment at Juventus and his desire to remain with the Serie A giants. "If it were up to me, I'd stay here: I'm really happy at Juve, I feel great," he added. This statement suggests that the striker's priority is to secure a long-term future with Juventus, despite the reported interest from Chelsea and other clubs.
Kolo Muani's current loan deal with Juventus extends until the end of the Club World Cup. Juventus are said to be keen on extending his stay, but face competition for his signature. PSG, who own the player's contract, are reportedly open to a permanent sale if a suitable offer is made. It is also believed that PSG have requested a transfer fee of €40-50 million to offload Kolo Muani.
Chelsea's interest in Kolo Muani comes amid their search for attacking reinforcements. Despite already securing the signing of Liam Delap, the Blues are reportedly exploring other options to bolster their forward line. Nicolas Jackson's recent performances have been underwhelming, leading to speculation that Chelsea may be looking for a replacement or additional competition in that position. Other names linked to Chelsea include Hugo Ekitike, Viktor Gyokeres, and Victor Osimhen.
However, Kolo Muani's preference to stay at Juventus could prove to be a stumbling block for Chelsea. It has also been suggested that Kolo Muani is aware that Dusan Vlahovic is likely to leave Juventus, which would give him an opportunity to be the main striker in Turin.
Kolo Muani joined PSG from Eintracht Frankfurt in 2023 for a reported fee of £76 million. However, he failed to make a significant impact in Paris and was subsequently loaned out to Juventus in January 2025. Since arriving in Turin, he has impressed, scoring 10 goals in 21 appearances.
Prior to joining PSG, Kolo Muani admitted he harbored dreams of playing in the Premier League. "Honestly, who doesn't dream of playing in the Premier League? It's one of the best leagues that exists," he said in June 2023. However, his current focus appears to be on continuing his career with Juventus.
Whether Chelsea will be able to change Kolo Muani's mind remains to be seen. The transfer window is still open, and the situation could evolve depending on Juventus' willingness to negotiate with PSG and Kolo Muani's long-term ambitions. For now, Kolo Muani remains focused on the Club World Cup and a potential future with Juventus.
