In a statement released on the club's website, Neymar expressed his deep connection with Santos, stating, "I made a decision and I listened to my heart. Santos President Marcelo Teixeira hailed the contract extension as a "historic and remarkable day for Brazilian football," emphasizing its significance for the club's rebuilding process.
