The Milwaukee Brewers and Colorado Rockies are set to face off in a three-game series beginning Friday, June 27th. Here's a look at what to expect:

Rockies' Perspective:

The Colorado Rockies are having a tough season. The Rockies are in the midst of a dismal season. A recent win streak isn't enough to dig them out of the hole of an 18-62 record thus far. There have been some changes in the front office, as Greg Feasel, President & Chief Operating Officer, will step down from his position at the end of the 2025 season. Walker Monfort has immediately moved into the role of executive vice president of the Rockies. The Rockies have designated Keston Hiura for assignment and recalled first baseman Michael Toglia from Triple-A Albuquerque. Chase Dollander took the loss against the Dodgers on Wednesday, allowing three runs on three hits and two walks while striking out one batter over 5.2 innings.

Brewers' Perspective:

The Milwaukee Brewers are in a much better position, currently in second place in the NL Central. The Brewers always seem to be in the hunt for the National League Central. As it stands right now, the Brewers are 3.5 games back from first place in the division, and they hold a Wild Card spot in the NL. Joey Ortiz hit two home runs and drove in four runs and Caleb Durbin added a home run, three RBIs and two runs to lead the Milwaukee Brewers to a 9-3 victory over the visiting Pittsburgh Pirates on Tuesday night. Jacob Misiorowski (3-0) picked up the win in Wednesday's 4-2 victory over the Pirates, allowing two hits and two walks over five scoreless innings. He struck out eight. Trevor Megill struck out one in a perfect ninth inning Wednesday to record his 18th save of the season in a 4-2 win over the Pirates. Brock Wilken will be sidelined for 8-to-10 weeks after being diagnosed with a dislocated left patella tendon.

Pitching Matchups and Predictions:

While specific starting pitcher matchups for each game of the series haven't been officially announced, it's likely both teams will rely on a mix of their established starters and possibly some younger arms. Jacob Misiorowski has been all but untouchable through his first three big-league starts.

Key Players to Watch:

  • Brewers: Keep an eye on Joey Ortiz, who is coming off a strong performance. Also, Jacob Misiorowski's performance will be something to watch for.
  • Rockies: For the Rockies, Brenton Doyle leads the team with home runs and RBIs.

Overall Outlook:

The Brewers enter this series as the favored team, given their strong record and playoff aspirations. The Rockies, on the other hand, will be looking to play spoiler and build some positive momentum for the future.
