Hughes also mentioned that his firm was first contacted about the case two years prior, and despite recent inquiries, they have been unable to obtain any significant information regarding their client's complaint.

Kaieteur News detailed an incident involving a 24-year-old woman referred to as Jane Doe to protect her identity. Jane Doe claims she agreed to a date with the cricketer, but the evening ended traumatically near her home. She presented evidence, including photos of injuries and messages purportedly from the player expressing remorse and offering compensation, which she refused. The messages allegedly showed the cricketer apologizing for his actions and requesting that the matter remain private.

Cricket West Indies (CWI) has been contacted for comment but has not yet issued an official statement. CWI President Kishore Shallow stated that the organization is "unaware of the circumstances and, therefore, is not in a position to comment at this time." SportsMax TV reached out to Cricket West Indies, inquiring about their awareness of the matter, any ongoing investigation, and potential cover-up attempts, but has received no further response.

The allegations have sparked outrage and concern, with many calling for a thorough and transparent investigation.
