The Winnipeg Jets entered the 2025 NHL Entry Draft with five picks and the aim of bolstering their prospect pool. Held at L.A. Live's Peacock Theater in Los Angeles, the draft saw the Jets select players with a range of skills and potential. Let's take a closer look at the newest additions to the Jets organization.

Round 1, #28 Overall: Sascha Boumedienne, D

With their first-round pick, 28th overall, the Jets selected Sascha Boumedienne, a defenseman from Boston University (NCAA). The left-handed Swede stands at 6-foot-1 and weighs 175 pounds. Boumedienne is known for his shot, transition play, and offensive capabilities. Before joining Boston University, he was considered among the top Swedish prospects. Scouts have noted that his skills haven't fully translated to the NCAA game yet.

Round 3, #92 Overall: Owen Martin, C

During the 2024-25 season, Martin recorded 34 points (13 goals, 21 assists) in 39 games, improving upon his previous season's performance. He further contributed 12 points (6 goals, 6 assists) in 20 playoff games as the Chiefs reached the WHL Final. Mark Hillier, the Jets' Director of Amateur Scouting, described Martin as an "intriguing player" with good size, skating ability, skill, and a smart two-way game.

Round 5, #156 Overall: Viktor Klingsell, LW

The Jets selected Viktor Klingsell, a left winger from Skelleftea AIK J20 (SHL), with the 156th overall pick in the fifth round. Scouts praise Klingsell's hockey sense and playmaking abilities, noting his potential to create scoring chances.

Round 6, #188 Overall: Edison Engle, D
