The Milwaukee Brewers faced off against the Colorado Rockies in the latest game of the 2025 MLB season, with the Brewers holding a 47-36 record compared to the Rockies' struggling 18-65.

The Brewers are having a solid season, currently sitting in second place in the NL Central. Offensively, the Brewers have been performing well. New additions to American Family Field, such as the food truck park called "The Alley", are aimed at enriching the ballpark experience for fans. The Brewers will start their 2025 season on the road against the New York Yankees on March 27 and have their home opener against the Kansas City Royals on March 31. The team will be wearing a jersey patch to honor the late Hall of Fame broadcaster Bob Uecker.

Meanwhile, the Colorado Rockies are having a historically bad season. Their struggles led to the firing of manager Bud Black on May 11 after a 7-33 start. The Rockies' 8-42 start was the worst 50-game opening stretch in MLB history. The team also set a new MLB record for the lowest number of wins at the end of May, with only 9. The Rockies have struggled both offensively and defensively, ranking near the bottom in most offensive categories and holding a team ERA that is second-worst in the majors. Despite playing at Coors Field, known as a hitter's park, their offense has failed to produce.

In their recent matchup, Quinn Priester dominated on the mound for the Brewers, striking out a career-high 11 batters in seven innings. Joey Ortiz contributed with a home run, his third in four games. The Brewers extended their winning streak with a 5-0 victory over the Rockies. Antonio Senzatela struggled for the Rockies, allowing five runs in 4 2/3 innings. The Brewers' pitching staff has been a strong point, leading the NL with a 3.27 ERA over the last 31 games.

Despite their poor record, the Rockies have promising young players in their farm system, including pitching prospect Chase Dollander and outfielder Charlie Condon. The Rockies began the 2025 season with a record of 6–33, which was the worst start to a season of any team through 39 games. They reached 30 games below .500 in just 44 games, with a record of 7–37.
