The Australia Champions have announced a star-studded squad for the upcoming World Championship of Legends (WCL) Season 2, scheduled to be held in the United Kingdom from July 18 to August 2, 2025. The team is headlined by legendary fast bowler Brett Lee, explosive batsman Chris Lynn, and experienced top-order batsman Shaun Marsh.

Joining these iconic players are match-winning veterans such as Ben Cutting, Moises Henriques, Peter Siddle, Nathan Coulter-Nile, and D'Arcy Short, making the Australia Champions a well-rounded and formidable team in the tournament. The squad also includes Ben Dunk, Callum Ferguson, Dan Christian, Rob Quiney, and Stephen O'Keefe.

Brett Lee expressed his excitement about returning to the field with fellow cricketing greats and representing Australia again. He emphasized the emotional and competitive significance of the tournament, stating, "Being part of WCL is an incredible opportunity to relive the adrenaline of top-level cricket. Representing Australia again, alongside some of my best mates, is something truly close to my heart. We're coming with intent—to entertain and to dominate".

Puneet Singh, the owner of Australia Champions, expressed his confidence in the team's star-studded lineup. "This is more than just a team—it's a statement. Australia Champions have been built with legends who defined generations. With Brett, Lynny, and Cutting leading the charge, we're bringing back the fierce Australian spirit to WCL. Expect fireworks, passion, and pure cricketing brilliance," Singh stated.

Harshit Tomar, Founder and CEO of the World Championship of Legends (WCL), shared his enthusiasm about the Australia Champions squad. "Australia has always been a force in world cricket, and the WCL is proud to welcome back icons like Brett Lee and Chris Lynn," Tomar said.

Each player brings unique strengths to the team. Brett Lee's raw pace and aggressive bowling make him a lethal weapon. Chris Lynn's ability to hit massive sixes makes him one of the most dangerous batsmen in the tournament. Shaun Marsh's elegant shot-making and consistency add stability to the batting lineup. Ben Cutting is known for his powerful hitting and contributions with the ball. Moises Henriques brings balance with his composed batting and disciplined seam bowling. Peter Siddle and Nathan Coulter-Nile add depth to the bowling attack. D'Arcy Short is a dynamic all-rounder with his aggressive batting style.

The World Championship of Legends (WCL) Season 2 will kick off on July 18 at Edgbaston Stadium in Birmingham, with Pakistan Champions facing England Champions in the opening match. The highly anticipated India vs Pakistan clash is scheduled for July 20, also at Edgbaston.

With a blend of experience, athleticism, and fierce Australian grit, the Australia Champions are set to be a strong contender in the WCL 2025. Fans can anticipate a high standard of play and a team determined to make a statement in the tournament.
