The Anaheim Ducks have officially signed forward Mikael Granlund to a three-year contract. The deal, announced on Tuesday, July 1, 2025, will see Granlund with an average annual value (AAV) of $7 million, totaling $21 million over the contract's term.

Granlund, aged 33, brings a wealth of experience to the Ducks. Throughout his 13-year NHL career, he has played 902 regular-season games for the Dallas Stars, San Jose Sharks, Pittsburgh Penguins, Nashville Predators, and Minnesota Wild, amassing 179 goals and 431 assists for 610 points. Selected ninth overall in the 2010 NHL Draft by the Minnesota Wild, Granlund has also participated in 77 postseason games, recording 16 goals and 26 assists for 42 points.

Last season, Granlund split time between the San Jose Sharks and the Dallas Stars, notching 22 goals and 44 assists for 66 points in 83 games. After being traded to Dallas on February 1, he contributed 7 goals and 14 assists in 31 regular-season games, along with 5 goals and 5 assists in 18 Stanley Cup Playoff games.

This contract also includes some trade protection for Granlund. He will have a full no-trade clause in the first year, followed by a 15-team no-trade list in the second year, and a 10-team no-trade list in the third year of the contract.

Granlund's career earnings through 2025 are estimated at $49,225,000. His signing adds a veteran presence to the Ducks' roster as they aim to improve their performance in the upcoming seasons.
