Nick Woltemade's future is currently a hot topic of discussion, with strong links to a potential move to Bayern Munich dominating headlines. The 23-year-old forward, who currently plays for VfB Stuttgart, has attracted significant attention following his outstanding performance at the U21 Euros, where he won the Golden Boot after scoring six goals.

Bayern Munich have made their interest in Woltemade clear, with board member Max Eberl confirming that the club is keen on signing the player but not at an "exorbitant price". Reports indicate that Bayern and Woltemade have already reached a verbal agreement on a contract, potentially lasting until 2030. However, negotiations between Bayern and Stuttgart are ongoing, with the transfer fee proving to be a sticking point.

Stuttgart's valuation of Woltemade is rumored to be between €60 million and €70 million, although some reports suggest they could be holding out for as much as €100 million. Bayern, however, are reportedly unwilling to meet these demands, with suggestions they are prepared to pay around £42 million (approximately €49.5 million). This difference in valuation could lead to protracted negotiations.

To bridge the gap, there have been discussions about including players in the deal. One name that has emerged is Paul Wanner, with the possibility of a swap deal or Wanner joining Stuttgart on loan being considered. Wanner, despite a less successful loan spell at FC Heidenheim, is valued at around €18 million, which could help reduce the financial disparity between the two clubs' valuations of Woltemade.

Woltemade's preference appears to be a move to Bayern Munich, with reports suggesting he has rejected interest from other clubs, including Chelsea and Napoli. This desire to join Bayern could give the Bavarian club an advantage in negotiations with Stuttgart.

Bayern's interest in Woltemade comes as they look to bolster their attacking options. With the departures of players like Thomas Müller, Leroy Sane and Mathys Tel, there is a need to strengthen the squad. Woltemade, who can play as a striker or in the number 10 role, could provide valuable cover for Harry Kane and offer competition for Jamal Musiala. However, questions remain about whether he would receive sufficient playing time, given the presence of these established stars.

The coming days and weeks will likely be crucial in determining whether Woltemade will be wearing the Bayern Munich jersey next season. While personal terms seem to be agreed, the clubs still need to find common ground on the transfer fee. The possibility of including players like Paul Wanner in the deal could be a key factor in unlocking the situation.
