In contrast to their 2024 season, the Brewers have struggled to mount comebacks in 2025. As of May, they were 0-13 when their opponents scored first, highlighting a significant decline in their ability to rally and win games.

Milwaukee's batting average on balls in play (BABIP) has also plummeted from .305 in 2024 to .218 in 2025. This sharp drop suggests a decline in the quality of contact and an increase in ground balls, limiting the effectiveness of their team speed.

Several players have struggled to find consistency at the plate. While Sal Frelick, Christian Yelich, Rhys Hoskins, and Jackson Chourio have shown flashes of productivity, others like William Contreras, Joey Ortiz, and Brice Turang have struggled.

The Brewers' offense has been stuck in neutral for much of the season, compiling one of the least productive lineups in baseball. Their OPS (on-base plus slugging) of .676 is among the worst in the National League.

Despite the offensive struggles, the Brewers' pitching staff has been surprisingly successful. However, to make a serious playoff push, the Brewers' offense needs to improve. The National League is highly competitive, and the Brewers must find ways to score more runs to contend.

Looking ahead, the Brewers will need to address their offensive deficiencies to improve their standing in the NL Central. A focus on generating more power, improving contact quality, and capitalizing on opportunities with runners in scoring position will be crucial for their success.
