The first period saw Sweden take an early lead with goals from Jack Berglund and Leo Sahlin Wallenius. The second period was filled with penalties for both teams, resulting in multiple power-play goals. Cullen Potter scored on the power play for the USA, but Sweden maintained their lead going into the third period. Despite a late push from the United States, Sweden held on to win. Nick Kempf was in goal for the USA, while Herman Liv played in net for Sweden.
Earlier in the showcase, Sweden also defeated USA White 4-3. In that game, Sweden took an early lead, but the USA White team tied the score. Sweden then scored two unanswered goals to secure the victory.
