Tottenham Hotspur's young star, Mikey Moore, is setting his sights on another European trophy as he joins the England Under-19s squad for the UEFA European Championship in Romania. Following a breakthrough season with Spurs, the talented winger is eager to impress both on the international stage and with his club's new manager, Thomas Frank.

Moore's journey through the ranks at Tottenham has been impressive. Having joined the club at just seven years old, he has consistently excelled, playing for the Under-18s while still a schoolboy and contributing significantly to their Under-17 and Under-18 Premier League Cup double in the 2022/23 season. He also gained valuable experience in the Under-19 UEFA Youth League and became the youngest player to represent Tottenham's Under-21s.

The 2023/24 campaign saw Moore's continued rise, earning him a place in the first-team squad. He made his Premier League debut in May 2024 against Manchester City and further impressed during pre-season. His senior debut came in a Europa League match against Ferencvaros, followed by a standout performance against AZ Alkmaar at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

This past season, Moore made 19 appearances for Tottenham across all competitions, including a place on the bench during their Europa League final victory against Manchester United. Now, he is focused on achieving similar success with England Under-19s in the European Championship.

"It was a top experience – some of the best times of my life on that Wednesday night,” Moore said, reflecting on Tottenham's Europa League win. “Hopefully going on to win another medal and another trophy with these boys here would be a brilliant feeling and experience for everyone."

England Under-19s have been drawn into a challenging group alongside Germany, the Netherlands, and Norway. Despite the tough competition, Moore and his teammates are confident in their ability to compete for the trophy. "There's some top players. We think we can go on and hopefully win the tournament. It's been a good little build-up but [we're] excited to get into the games now,” Moore stated.

With Ange Postecoglou's departure and Thomas Frank's arrival as Tottenham's new manager, Moore is also keen to make a strong impression at the club level. "With Ange, I'm thankful to him. He gave me an opportunity to go and show people what I could do," Moore acknowledged. "Now I'm just excited to get back and hopefully go and impress the new manager. Try and show what I can do, really." Moore notably played against Frank's Brentford early in the season, adding an extra layer of familiarity as he aims to secure his place in the first team.

The England Under-19s squad boasts a wealth of talent, including Sunderland's Chris Rigg, Chelsea's Kiano Dyer, and Manchester United's Ethan Wheatley. With Moore's attacking prowess and determination, the Young Lions are a team to watch in this year's tournament. England's Under-19 campaign kicks off against Norway, with subsequent matches against Germany and the Netherlands. The top two teams from each group will advance to the semi-finals, with the final match to determine the champion.
