Yashasvi Jaiswal will continue to represent Mumbai in the upcoming domestic season after the Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) approved his request to withdraw his No Objection Certificate (NOC). The MCA's Apex Council approved the withdrawal on Monday, June 30th, confirming Jaiswal's availability for Mumbai.

Jaiswal, who is currently with the Indian team in England, had earlier sought an NOC, presumably to move to Goa. However, he made a U-turn in May, requesting the MCA to allow him to continue playing for Mumbai, citing curtailed family plans. In an email to the MCA, Jaiswal stated that he had not submitted the NOC to the BCCI or the Goa Cricket Association.

MCA president Ajinkya Naik said, "Yashasvi has always been a proud product of Mumbai cricket. We have accepted his withdrawal NOC application and he will be available for Mumbai in the forthcoming domestic season". The MCA also released a statement saying, "The Apex Council has approved the withdrawal of the No Objection Certificate (NOC) that had been earlier requested by Yashasvi Jaiswal to represent another state. He will continue to be available for Mumbai".

In April, Jaiswal had surprised MCA officials by seeking an NOC to move to Goa, citing personal reasons. He had mentioned that Goa offered him a leadership role, which influenced his decision. Jaiswal told The Indian Express that his first goal would be to do well for India, and whenever he was not on national duty, he would play for Goa and try to take them deep into the tournament.

If Jaiswal had proceeded with his plan to represent Goa, he would have joined the ranks of other Mumbai players like Arjun Tendulkar and Siddhesh Lad, who have also represented Goa.

Jaiswal last played for Mumbai in a Ranji game at the BKC ground in Mumbai last season. He moved from Suriyawan in Uttar Pradesh's Bhadohi to Mumbai at the age of 11 to pursue his cricket career. Jaiswal has represented India since his Under-19 days and has made a mark with a double century in the Vijay Hazare Trophy. He also has a contract with the Rajasthan Royals in the IPL.

Meanwhile, the MCA has announced that Arman Jaffer and Sidhant Adatrao have obtained NOCs from the association and will play professionally for Pondicherry in the upcoming domestic season. Puneet Datey, a former player from Madhya Pradesh, will also join them in the Southern team.

In another significant decision, the MCA has formed a committee for differently-abled players. The MCA stated that this move aligns with their constitution and demonstrates their commitment to inclusivity and the growth of cricket at all levels.
