Shubman Gill's magnificent innings of 269 against England at Edgbaston on July 3, 2025, was a record-breaking performance that etched his name in cricket history. Gill became the first Asian captain to score a double century in SENA (South Africa, England, New Zealand, and Australia) countries, exceeding Tillakaratne Dilshan's 193 at Lord's in 2011. He is also only the third visiting captain with a 250-plus score in England in Tests.
