Freddy Peralta has been named Milwaukee's lone All-Star for the 2025 MLB All-Star Game. This marks the second All-Star selection in his career, with his first coming in 2021. In 2021, Peralta had a 10–5 record with a 2.81 ERA and 195 strikeouts in 144+1⁄3 innings. During the 2021 All-Star Game, he struck out three consecutive batters in the seventh inning.

As of June 19, 2025, Peralta was on track to make his second All-Star Game appearance, boasting a 2.60 ERA and 84 strikeouts across 83 innings. He has been a crucial part of the Brewers' rotation, and some believe that without him, the team's playoff chances would be significantly diminished.

Peralta's journey to becoming an All-Star has been marked by dedication and perseverance. He signed with the Seattle Mariners as an international free agent in April 2013. After spending several years in the Mariners' minor league system, he was traded to the Milwaukee Brewers in December 2015. He made his MLB debut for the Brewers on May 13, 2018, against the Colorado Rockies, recording 13 strikeouts in 5+2⁄3 shutout innings, setting a Brewers franchise record for strikeouts by a first-time starter.

In 2024, Peralta played a key role in Game 1 of the wild-card playoff game against the New York Mets. On May 12, 2025, Peralta achieved his 1,000th career strikeout. Through July 2, 2025, his MLB career statistics include a 62–40 win-loss record, a 3.69 ERA, and 1,053 strikeouts.

Peralta's selection as the Brewers' sole All-Star in 2025 is a testament to his outstanding performance and importance to the team. Despite the team trading away Aaron Civale to the White Sox and dealing with injuries to other pitchers, the Brewers' starting pitchers have collectively stepped up throughout the season.
