On Day 3, England were left needing 324 more runs to win the Test match and level the series. India ended the day in a strong position after Yashasvi Jaiswal's century helped them reach 396. Ravindra Jadeja and Washington Sundar also contributed with half-centuries. Josh Tongue was England's most successful bowler, claiming 5 wickets in the second innings.

Just as England appeared comfortable, Mohammed Siraj delivered a stunning inswinging yorker to remove Zak Crawley's stumps. At the close of play, England were 50/1, needing 374 to win the Test match.

Earlier, Yashasvi Jaiswal's century led India's dominant batting performance, marking his second of the series. He played a composed innings, anchoring the team at a crucial moment. Akash Deep supported him with a gritty 66, building a 107-run partnership for the third wicket. Ravindra Jadeja and Washington Sundar added to the momentum with half-centuries, pushing India's total to 396.

Siraj's impressive performance also saw him surpass Sachin Tendulkar in total international wickets. With four wickets in the match, Siraj's tally reached 203, exceeding Tendulkar's 201. This milestone highlighted Siraj's growing importance in India's bowling attack.

On Day 2, Siraj and Prasidh Krishna's excellent bowling helped India bounce back after being bowled out for 224. Their combined efforts restricted England to 247, giving India a narrow lead. Jaiswal then ensured India capitalized on this momentum with an aggressive start to their second innings.

Jaiswal's impressive form against England continued, marking his fourth Test century against them. His second-innings performance solidified India's position in the match. Overall, Jaiswal has amassed 2209 runs in just 24 Tests, with 1123 of those coming against England.

Mohammed Siraj's late wicket of Zak Crawley was the perfect end to the day for India. He bowled a searing yorker that caught Crawley off guard, leaving his stumps in disarray. As the match heads into Day 4, England need 324 runs to win, while India require eight more wickets to secure victory.
