Indiana Fever fans are facing disappointing news regarding the return of their star player, Caitlin Clark, who continues to be sidelined with a right groin injury. Clark has been out of action since July 15, after sustaining the injury in a win against the Connecticut Sun. As of August 12, 2025, she is set to miss her 11th consecutive game when the Fever face the Dallas Wings.

The Fever organization has been cautious about setting a definitive return date for Clark. On July 24, the team released a statement following further medical evaluations, confirming that no additional injuries or damage were discovered. The priority remains on Clark's long-term health and well-being, and her return will not be rushed.

Head coach Stephanie White addressed the situation, stating that Clark's recovery is being approached "day-to-day" with no specific timetable in place. While Clark has resumed running and is gradually increasing the intensity of her movements on the court, she has not yet returned to practice.

Clark herself acknowledged the challenges of dealing with the injury, stating the frustration of being active for a few games and then being sidelined again. She expressed the difficulty of gauging her recovery progress, with some days being more frustrating than others.

This right groin injury is the latest in a string of setbacks for Clark this season. She previously missed time due to a left quad strain and a left groin injury. In total, she has been absent for 19 of the Fever's 32 games, in addition to the WNBA Commissioner's Cup Final.

Despite Clark's absence, the Fever have managed to remain competitive, posting a 6-4 record in their last 10 games. They are still in the playoff picture, demonstrating the team's resilience and depth.

Teammate Natasha Howard recently hinted at Clark's potential return, expressing that the team is fighting to the end for their injured players. While this offered a glimmer of hope for fans, coach White's comments suggest that Clark's return is still some time away.

For Fever fans eager to see Clark back on the court, the situation requires patience. The team is prioritizing her long-term health, and she will only return when she is as close to 100% as possible. In the meantime, the Fever will continue to battle, hoping to maintain their playoffposition until their star player is ready to rejoin them.
