Minten's Overtime Heroics Propel Bruins to Victory in Thrilling Match Against the Blackhawks.

BOSTON – A late-game surge wasn't enough for the Chicago Blackhawks as Fraser Minten's overtime goal propelled the Boston Bruins to a 4-3 victory Thursday night. The Blackhawks, showing resilience, secured their first point of the season but ultimately fell short against a determined Bruins squad.

The Bruins drew first blood when Casey Mittelstadt capitalized on a loose puck in front of the net, scoring just under four minutes into the game. However, Chicago responded quickly, with Connor Bedard notching his first goal of the season off a cross-ice pass from Andre Burakovsky.

The Blackhawks then took the lead early in the second period, with Louis Crevier scoring off a faceoff play. Boston responded near the midpoint of the second when Tanner Jeannot tapped in a rebound, tying the game at two.

Boston regained the lead early in the third period with a power-play goal by Elias Lindholm, just 15 seconds into the period. Chicago answered back when Andre Burakovsky found the back of the net, tying the game once again. The Blackhawks successfully navigated a penalty kill in the final three minutes of regulation, securing a point and forcing overtime.

The overtime period saw both teams trading chances. Blackhawks players Frank Nazar and Connor Bedard were denied by Bruins goalie Joonas Korpisalo. Ultimately, it was Boston's Fraser Minten who ended the contest, scoring the game-winner.
