The Outer Delhi Warriors have finalized their 25-player squad for the upcoming Delhi Premier League (DPL) T20 Season 2, following a strategic and successful auction. The team, making its debut in the league, blended IPL experience with emerging Delhi stars and smart auction acquisitions to create a well-rounded unit.

The Warriors' most significant acquisition was 25-year-old all-rounder Harsh Tyagi, secured for ₹19 lakh. The franchise also added Indian leg-spinner Suyash Sharma (₹15 lakh), wicketkeeper-batter Dhruv Singh (₹13.5 lakh), middle-order all-rounder Siddhant Sharma (₹12.5 lakh), fast bowler Anshuman Hooda (₹12.5 lakh), and top-order batter Sanat Sangwan (₹5 lakh). Priyansh Arya, a T20 player, was announced as a marquee player before the auction. He was retained for ₹21 lakh.

Rajeshree Shete Iyer, CEO of Outer Delhi Warriors, emphasized the team's focus on building a winning squad rather than just a "headline squad". She highlighted the mix of experienced IPL players like Suyash Sharma and exciting all-rounders like Harsh and Siddhant Sharma, giving the squad both power and purpose. Iyer also noted the team's depth, Delhi connection, and winning mindset.

Sunil Aggarwal, owner of the Outer Delhi Warriors, stated that the squad balances promise with performance. He pointed to acquisitions like Harsh Tyagi and smart picks like Sanat Sangwan as setting the tone for the kind of cricket the team wants to play: bold, local, and geared towards winning.

The Outer Delhi Warriors also secured young talents like Shaurya Malik, Keshav Dabas, and Shivam Sharma. Shaurya Malik was picked up for ₹6.25 lakh, and is expected to form a strong fast-bowling partnership with Anshuman Hooda. Other players acquired for under ₹5 lakh include Sanat Snagwan, Dev Kashyap, and Aman Choudhary. Aarav Gautam, Vivaan Jindal, Aadi Agarwal, and Kamal Bhairwa were acquired for ₹1 lakh each.

The Delhi Premier League (DPL) 2025 auction took place on July 6, 2025, in New Delhi. The tournament will feature eight teams, including new entrants Outer Delhi Warriors and New Delhi Tigers. Each team had a budget of ₹1.5 crore for the auction. The format will be a round-robin, leading to playoffs. All matches are reportedly to be played at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in New Delhi.

Simarjeet Singh was the most expensive player at the auction, bought by Central Delhi Kings for ₹39 lakh. Digvesh Rathi was the second-highest buy, going to South Delhi Superstarz for ₹38 lakh. Other top buys included Nitish Rana to West Delhi Lions for ₹34 lakh and Prince Yadav to New Delhi Tigers for ₹33 lakh.

Prior to the auction, each team was allowed to retain one player. The Outer Delhi Warriors retained Priyansh Arya. Other retained players include Himmat Singh (New Delhi Tigers), Rishabh Pant (Purani Dilli 6), Ayush Dodeja (West Delhi Lions), Anuj Rawat (East Delhi Riders), Jonty Sidhu (Central Delhi Kings), Ayush Badoni (South Delhi Superstarz), and Harshit Rana (North Delhi Strikers).
