Chelsea has secured a place in the FIFA Club World Cup final after defeating Fluminense 2-0 in the semi-final at MetLife Stadium, New Jersey. New signing João Pedro, playing against his former club, delivered a stellar performance, scoring both goals for the Blues.

The victory propels Chelsea to the final, where they will face the winner of the Paris Saint-Germain vs. Real Madrid match. The final is scheduled for July 13th at MetLife Stadium.

João Pedro, who debuted in the quarter-final win against Palmeiras, made his first start for Chelsea in the semi-final due to Liam Delap's suspension. The Brazilian forward seized the opportunity, opening the scoring in the 18th minute with a right-footed curler past Fluminense's goalkeeper Fabio. He then doubled the lead in the 57th minute, dribbling past two defenders before firing a shot off the crossbar and over the line. 70,566 fans were in attendance to witness Chelsea's victory.

Chelsea's journey to the Club World Cup final began with a quarter-final victory over Palmeiras. The team, managed by Enzo Maresca, is now one step away from claiming the Club World Cup title. Chelsea previously won the Club World Cup in 2021.

The FIFA Club World Cup 2025 features 32 clubs competing for a share of £774m ($1bn) in prize money. The winner of the Club World Cup could receive up to £97m ($125m) from FIFA.

Tickets for the semi-final match were available to Chelsea supporters via FIFA's ticketing portal. Club Fan tickets in the lower tier were priced at $766, while value tier tickets were available for $108.

Football fans worldwide are eagerly anticipating the final match to see whether Chelsea can add another Club World Cup title to their trophy cabinet. The potential clash against either PSG or Real Madrid promises to be a thrilling encounter.
