Caitlin Clark appears to be actively recruiting Sabrina Ionescu, a star guard for the New York Liberty, to join the Indiana Fever. This all started during the WNBA All-Star Weekend. Even though Clark was unable to compete in the All-Star game due to a groin injury, it didn't stop her from attempting to persuade Ionescu to consider joining the Fever.

Clark commented on Ionescu's Instagram post that included photos from the All-Star Game and surrounding festivities. Clark wrote, "looking real natural in that lockerroom," clearly referring to the Fever's locker room, since the All-Star game was held at Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis.

Fans online seemed to enjoy the idea of Ionescu and Clark playing together. One user wrote, "Alright I can be delusional for this [expletive]," while another commented, "Cc audibled the blitz true qb1". Other fans envisioned them as a "Dream Team" or "SPLASH SISTERS".

Ionescu has solidified herself as one of the best guards and shooters in the WNBA. Having both Clark and Ionescu on the same team would create one of the most exciting backcourts in basketball.

Almost the entire WNBA will be free agents in 2026, meaning many players will be approached by new teams.
