While initial reports suggested that Ishan Kishan might be considered, recent updates confirm that Jagadeesan is in line to join the squad.

Pant's injury occurred on the first day of the fourth Test when he was struck on the right foot while attempting a reverse sweep. Despite the injury, Pant displayed remarkable resilience by batting on the second day, although he did not keep wickets for the remainder of the match. Scans later revealed a toe fracture, ruling him out of the ongoing Test and the subsequent match.
