Tottenham Hotspur have arrived in Hong Kong for the Hong Kong Football Festival 2025, marking a relatively low-key entrance compared to Liverpool's earlier appearance. The Premier League champions are in town for a historic North London derby against Arsenal, the first time the rivalry will be contested outside of the United Kingdom.

The Spurs held a public training session at Kai Tak Stadium on Tuesday, drawing 9,080 fans. While this was about a third of the crowd that watched Liverpool's practice session the previous Thursday, the Tottenham faithful were enthusiastic in their support. Stars like James Maddison, Richarlison, and Son Heung-min participated in various ball games during the 75-minute session.

The match against Arsenal is a key highlight of the Hong Kong Football Festival 2025 and will take place at the new 50,000-capacity Kai Tak Stadium on Thursday. Tickets for the derby have already sold out.

Tottenham's visit includes several fan-centric activities. The club will host a Fan Zone at the Kai Tak Stadium on both Tuesday and Thursday, featuring games, giveaways, and retail stalls. On Wednesday evening, a drone show will illuminate the Hong Kong skyline over Victoria Harbour, celebrating the club's history and the first North London derby held outside the UK. Fans can also visit the Spurs Fan Park at the AIA Vitality Park, where they can meet club legend Ledley King, purchase merchandise, participate in football challenges, and take photos with the UEFA Europa League trophy.

Spurs arrived in Hong Kong via a private charter from London, following pre-season friendlies against Wycombe Wanderers and Luton Town. Midfielder James Maddison was seen carrying his own pillow for the long flight, while defenders Micky van de Ven and Pedro Porro were spotted with luggage at the airport.

Captain Son Heung-min leads a strong 29-man squad, including new signing Mohammed Kudus, Dominic Solanke and Guglielmo Vicario. However, Destiny Udogie and Dejan Kulusevski did not travel due to injury rehab.

The Hong Kong Football Festival 2025 features two high-profile matches, the first being Liverpool vs AC Milan, and the second being Arsenal vs Tottenham. Open training sessions offer fans a chance to see their favorite teams up close. Tickets for the open training sessions ranged from HK$99 to HK$299, while match-day tickets ranged from HK$399 to HK$2,499.

Following their appearance in Hong Kong, Tottenham will travel to Korea to participate in the Coupang Play Series. They will play Newcastle United on August 3 at the Seoul World Cup Stadium. The team will also hold an open training session at Goyang Stadium on August 2. This marks the club's fifth visit to Korea and their third appearance in the Coupang Play Series.
