The Anaheim Ducks are set to host the 2025 Golden State Rookie Faceoff presented by Arrowhead Water from September 12-14 at Great Park Ice in Irvine, California. This rookie tournament will feature top prospects from the Ducks, Los Angeles Kings, and San Jose Sharks. All games will be played at FivePoint Arena, which has a seating capacity of 2,500.

The Ducks will hold a Rookie Camp practice on September 11, preceding the Rookie Faceoff. This practice will be at Great Park Ice and is open to the public at no charge. The San Diego Gulls coaching staff, including Head Coach Matt McIlvane, and Assistant Coaches Dave Manson and Michael Babcock, will lead the camp and the Rookie Faceoff.

Anaheim's 2025 Rookie Camp roster includes 23 players: 13 forwards, seven defensemen, and three goaltenders. Seventeen of these players are Anaheim draft selections, including two first-round picks: Beckett Sennecke (third overall in 2024) and Stian Solberg (23rd overall in 2024). Four of Anaheim's 2025 NHL Draft selections are also on the roster, along with three free-agent signings and three camp invitees.

Two players on Anaheim's Rookie Faceoff roster have already played in the NHL, Ian Moore and Tim Washe. Moore recorded one assist in three games, and Washe played in two games with Anaheim last season. Twelve players on the roster participated in the 2024 Rookie Faceoff hosted by Los Angeles, and another 12 played for the San Diego Gulls in 2024-25.

Here are some of the players to watch at the upcoming Golden State Rookie Faceoff:

  • Beckett Sennecke (Forward): Selected third overall in the 2024 NHL Draft, Sennecke is known for his speed, talent, and elite skill. In 56 games last season with the Oshawa Generals of the OHL, he tallied 86 points (36 goals, 50 assists). His offensive flair and 200-foot game could translate to the NHL as soon as this season.
  • Stian Solberg (Defenseman): Drafted 23rd overall in 2024, Solberg is a physical player who uses his size (6-foot-2, 205 pounds) to his advantage. The Norwegian defenseman is not afraid to lay big hits and use his body to defend and maintain control of the puck. He played for Norway in the Olympic Games Qualifiers and the World Juniors.
  • Roger McQueen (Center): McQueen is another highly touted prospect.
  • Lucas Pettersson (Forward): Pettersson is a promising forward who played in the Swedish Hockey League. He signed his entry-level contract in June and will continue to develop with Brynas in the SHL this season.
  • Tristan Luneau (Defenseman): Luneau has NHL experience with 13 games played and three points (one goal, two assists). He began last season with Anaheim before being sent to the AHL, where he led the team in points among defensemen.

Tickets for the Golden State Rookie Faceoff are available at AnaheimDucks.com/GoldenStateRookieFaceoff. Anaheim Ducks Orange Alliance Members can purchase tickets for $10 per game, while single-game tickets for the general public are $15 per game. All three games will be streamed free of charge without regional restrictions on Victory+ or AnaheimDucks.com.
