Chloe Kelly is currently laser-focused on the upcoming Euro 2025 with the Lionesses, despite swirling speculation about a potential permanent move to Arsenal. The talented winger, whose contract with Manchester City expires at the end of June, has reportedly granted Arsenal a period of exclusivity to negotiate a possible three-year deal. However, Kelly remains adamant that her sole focus is on representing England at the European Championship.

Speaking at St George's Park, the national football center, during England's squad media day, Kelly addressed the transfer rumors. When asked about the likelihood of staying with Arsenal, she stated that she is allowing her representatives to handle the negotiations behind the scenes. She emphasized that her current priority is solely on England and the upcoming tournament.

Kelly's loan spell with Arsenal has been undeniably successful. She joined the Gunners in January, seeking a fresh start and a return to happiness on the pitch. Reflecting on her time with the club, Kelly acknowledged that Arsenal had taken her from "a really dark place" and provided her with an opportunity to rediscover her love for the game. The move proved to be transformative, as she played a pivotal role in Arsenal's triumphant Women's Champions League campaign, culminating in a victory over Barcelona in the final.

"I feel like I've grown so much from being at Arsenal," Kelly stated. "Every day I was learning from a great manager in Renée [Slegers]. I learned so much on the pitch and off the pitch from her. She's a great person and to come away with a Champions League is incredible. She gave me belief and confidence and I will always be grateful for her."

The Lionesses are gearing up for their Euro 2025 Group D opener against France in Zurich. The team received a boost with the return of Lauren James to full training after recovering from a hamstring injury.

Kelly etched her name into English football folklore when she scored the decisive goal in the Euro 2022 final against Germany, securing England's first major international trophy since 1966. She continues to be a key player for the Lionesses under coach Sarina Wiegman. While she may not be a prolific goalscorer, Kelly's pace, direct approach, and unwavering energy make her a valuable asset to the squad.

Regardless of where Kelly will be playing next season, her immediate focus remains on contributing to England's success at Euro 2025. She aims to replicate the achievements of Euro 2022 and continue inspiring the next generation of female footballers.
