Milwaukee Brewers fans are in for a treat as the team announced an Alumni Home Run Derby as part of the "25th Season of American Family Field" celebration. The event, scheduled for Friday, July 25, promises a nostalgic and exciting experience for fans of all ages.

The Home Run Derby will take place after the Brewers-Marlins game, which has a first pitch at 3:10 p.m. Those with tickets to the game are invited to stay and enjoy the competition, with concession stands re-opening to serve fans.

The lineup for the Derby includes fan favorites Ryan Braun and Carlos Gómez, who will serve as team captains. Joining them are fellow Brewers alumni Yovani Gallardo, Bill Hall, Corey Hart, Casey McGehee, Nyjer Morgan, and Eric Thames. Adding to the nostalgia, longtime Brewers coach Ed Sedar will be on the mound, with fellow alum George Kottaras behind the plate as the catcher.

Braun and Gómez will draft their teams in a "school-yard pick" style, adding an element of strategy and camaraderie to the event. Each batter will have two minutes to hit as many home runs as possible, contributing to their team's overall score. In the final 30 seconds, batters will have the opportunity to hit "golden baseballs," with each home run counting as three points. After the team competition, the two players with the highest individual scores will compete in a final round to determine the ultimate Home Run Derby champion. Brewers broadcasters Lane Grindle and Jeff Levering will emcee the event, adding their voices to the festivities.

Beyond the Home Run Derby, the Brewers have a full day of activities planned to celebrate the 25th anniversary of American Family Field. The team will welcome back a notable player from each roster year between 2001 and 2025. Fans can look forward to alumni autograph sessions and photo opportunities. Other alumni expected to be on hand include Keon Broxton, Jimmy Nelson, Jace Peterson, and Randy Wolf, joining previously announced alumni such as J.J. Hardy, Prince Fielder, José Hernández, Corey Knebel, Dan Kolb, Mark Loretta, Mike Moustakas, Ben Sheets, and Eric Sogard.

The Brewers are also offering special discounts on concessions and retail items throughout the day. Draft beers and brats will be available for $2.50 until the first pitch, and the Brewers Team Store will offer a 25% discount on select items.

Gates will open at 1:40 p.m., giving fans plenty of time to enjoy the day's festivities. All activities featuring alumni will be free for fans attending the game. The autograph sessions will run from 1:50 p.m. to 4:35 p.m., with alumni stationed along the warning track. While fans are welcome to seek autographs, the team will provide special autograph cards and cannot guarantee signatures on other memorabilia.
