Love Island is set to receive a fresh dose of drama as Giorgio Russo, the brother of England Lionesses and Arsenal Women striker Alessia Russo, enters the villa as a bombshell contestant. The 30-year-old account manager, currently residing in Sydney, Australia, is ready to shake things up and find love on the popular reality show.

Giorgio's arrival has already generated significant buzz, especially among Alessia's teammates. England's Maya Le Tissier expressed her excitement upon hearing the news, stating she was "buzzing" for Giorgio. Similarly, Beth Mead shared that the Lionesses are planning a group viewing to watch Giorgio's debut, anticipating what he'll get up to in the villa.

Speaking about his sister's reaction to his Love Island venture, Giorgio revealed that Alessia is "really excited" and believes he can "do well" on the show. Despite living in Australia, Giorgio maintains a close relationship with his sister, frequently attending her games for both Arsenal and England. He was even present at the UEFA Women's Champions League final, where Arsenal triumphed over Barcelona.

Giorgio, who is originally from Maidstone in Kent, has been traveling around South East Asia before settling in Sydney, Australia. When it comes to what he's looking for in a partner, Giorgio values a "good personality, [someone who's] family-oriented and fun to be around." A key green flag for him is an interest in sports, particularly football, given his sister's successful career. He emphasized that his dream girl doesn't need to be a football expert, but showing some interest is crucial as it's a significant part of his family's life.

He is entering the villa alongside fellow bombshells Caprice Alexandra, Poppy Harrison and Will Means. He has made it clear he is not afraid to step on toes. Giorgio stated he is going to try and stop all the "closed off" chat when I'm in there, you're either together or you're not.

As one of the older contestants this season, Giorgio's age and life experiences could give him an edge in navigating the villa's complex dynamics. It remains to be seen which islanders will catch his eye and how he will navigate the inevitable challenges and competitions.
