The inaugural Hockey India Masters Cup 2025 concluded in Chennai, with the Hockey Association of Odisha claiming the women's title and the Hockey Unit of Tamil Nadu securing the men's title. The tournament, held at the Mayor Radhakrishnan Hockey Stadium, witnessed thrilling competition and showcased the talent of veteran hockey players from across the country.

In the women's category, the Hockey Association of Odisha emerged victorious after a dominant performance throughout the tournament. They displayed exceptional teamwork and skill, culminating in a well-deserved championship. Odisha had earlier edged past Hockey Haryana with a 3-2 victory in the pool stage, with Ranjita Beck scoring twice. They continued their strong run by defeating Hockey Unit of Tamil Nadu 2-1 in another close contest. In the semi-finals, Hockey Association of Odisha sealed their place in the Final after registering an impressive win. In the quarter-finals, the Hockey Association of Odisha defeated Kerala Hockey 10-0, with Sarita Lakra scoring five goals.

Meanwhile, the Hockey Unit of Tamil Nadu also had a memorable run in the tournament. In the semi-finals they registered their name as the finalists. Earlier in the tournament, the Hockey Unit of Tamil Nadu defeated Kerala Hockey 8-0, with Ramadoss V. standing out as the top goal scorer with a brace.

The tournament featured eight teams in the women's category, including Hockey Association of Odisha, Hockey Haryana, Hockey Himachal, Hockey Karnataka, Hockey Maharashtra, Hockey Punjab, Hockey Unit of Tamil Nadu, and Kerala Hockey. In the men's category, eleven teams competed for the title, including Hockey Andhra Pradesh, Hockey Association of Odisha, Hockey Chandigarh, Hockey Haryana, Hockey Karnataka, Hockey Maharashtra, Hockey Punjab, Hockey Unit of Tamil Nadu, Kerala Hockey, Le Puducherry Hockey, and Manipur Hockey.

The Hockey India Masters Cup 2025 provided a platform for veteran hockey players to showcase their skills and passion for the sport. The tournament was a celebration of hockey and a testament to the enduring appeal of the game.
