Chelsea's young squad is set to face a stern test against Fluminense in the FIFA Club World Cup semi-final, scheduled for Tuesday, July 8th at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey. The London club, participating in the tournament after winning their first UEFA Conference League, is looking to add the Club World Cup to their trophy haul.

Chelsea advanced to the semi-finals after a hard-fought 2-1 victory over Brazilian side Palmeiras. Cole Palmer scored early in the 16th minute, but Palmeiras' Estevao Willian, who is in the process of signing with Chelsea, equalized in the 53rd minute. Eventually, Malo Gusto's cross deflected off Palmeiras defender Giay Agustin for an own goal, sealing Chelsea's win. Fluminense edged past Al Hilal 2-1 to reach the semi-finals. German Cano scored for Fluminense in the 33rd minute, followed by Jhon Arias in the 76th minute.

Tickets for the semi-final match are available for Chelsea supporters via FIFA's ticketing portal. Club Fan tickets went on sale on Saturday, July 5th, with lower tier tickets priced at $766 and value tier tickets at $108. To purchase tickets, fans need to create a FIFA account and declare themselves as Chelsea supporters.

Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca handed a debut to new recruit Joao Pedro during the quarter-final victory against Palmeiras. Chelsea has already earned over £61 million in the FIFA Club World Cup. If Chelsea wins the competition, they could potentially earn around £90 million.

Fluminense will be without Juan Pablo Freytes and Martinelli due to suspension, but Rene will be available after serving a one-game ban. Chelsea has faced two other Brazilian teams in the United States, losing to CR Flamengo 3-1 in the group stage but beating Palmeiras 2-1.

The upcoming match marks the first time Chelsea will face Fluminense in the FIFA Club World Cup. The game will be broadcasted live on DAZN.
